Leora Mae “Lee” Beals Rueblinger, born August 25, 1918, in Elk Lick Twp. , PA, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Luther Rueblinger; brothers, Norval and Ward Beals; and sister, Mabel Robertson.

She is survived by her sons, Larry and wife, Terri; Greg and partner, Frank Dixon, Jr.; granddaughter, Leith Ann Anania; and great-grandson, Nolan Davenport. Leora grew up in Coal Run, PA. After high school, she attended business school in York and Harrisburg, PA, and was later employed by the US Dept.

of Agriculture. She met Calvin in Harrisburg, and they were married in 1940. After WWII they spent time in Frostburg, MD, Baltimore, MD, DuBois, PA, Jacksonville, FL, Wheaton, MD, and ultimately retired to Jacksonville.

Following Calvin’s death, Lee moved to Coral Springs, FL and then to Sarasota in 2011 where she resided at Ashton Place. An avid gardener all her life, she was also a fierce Cribbage competitor, loved her Bingo and lived for her weekly lunches out, which largely revolved around dessert. A graveside service will be conducted in the St. Paul Wilhelm Cemetery, Elk Lick Twp.

, on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Tom Holliday officiating. Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy. , Salisbury, PA, is in charge of graveside arrangements.
