Shirley Mae (Beeman) Virts, 76, of Kitzmiller, MD, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at WMHS Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, MD. Born on November 16, 1941. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, William Russell Virts, Sr.; two sons, Gary Paugh and Leonard Paugh, Jr.; one step-son, William R. Virts, Jr.; two brothers, Lawrence and Tom Beeman; one sister, Dorothy Virts.

Shirley worked as a laborer in the Garrett Manufacturing sewing factory in Deer Park, MD, and Sterling Processing Plant as well. She retired from Garrett Community Action in the Meals on Wheels program. Shirley enjoyed crocheting.

She is survived by one son, Allen W. Virts, Morefield, WV; one stepson, James Virts, Elk Garden, WV; one stepdaughter, Margaret Virts, Oakland, MD; one brother, Rocky Beeman, Kitzmiller, MD; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. No services are planned. Interment will be in the Walnut Bottom Cemetery, Swanton, MD.
