Jerry Eugene Frantz, 83, of Grantsville, MD, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at WMHS Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, MD. Born April 15, 1935, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Donald Frantz and Mary Irene (Hillegas) Bucy. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Robert Bucy; one great-grandson, Cameron; one brother, Raymond Belle and one sister, Jeanette Romsburg.

Mr. Frantz worked in maintenance for the Grantsville Senior Center. He is survived by one son, Michael (Greta) Durst, Meyersdale, PA; two daughters, Jerri (Louis Maier) Frantz, Oldtown, MD; April (Brian) Schurg, Meyersdale; one sister, Sheila (Robert) Bucy Smith, Cumberland; six grandchildren, Braden, Carter, Alexis, Ashley, Zachary and Lucas; one great-granddaughter, Lilie. At his request, he was cremated.

A memorial service will be held in the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be directed in care of the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at www. newmanfuneralhomes.com.
