Obituary for Earl Lee Hinkle Earl Lee Hinkle, born October 4, 1937, left this mortal plane and joined his son, Todd, in Heaven on September 19, 2018 after a car accident. Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Connie, his son, Todd, sister Claudette, son-in-law Randy Painter, father Morrison and mother Pauline Hinkle. He is survived by daughter Kim Painter and her family, his granddaughter Amanda Edgell (husband Cody) and his granddaughter Leigh Ann Jones (husband Jason) and great granddaughters Karleigh and Hannah.

He is survived by his son, Earl Hinkle Jr. “Buster,” wife Ginny and daughter April, as well as his grandson Evan, Todd’s son. He also leaves behind devoted sister Marilyn Chapman, his sister Carol Tinsley (husband Julian) and family, his baby sister Jonnie Downing and niece Elizabeth Downing Fickenscher. He leaves behind his nephew Glen Morrison Lane (wife Valerie), niece Paulette Robson (husband George), great-nieces Mary Robson Guest (husband Russell) and Meredith.

Also nephew Troy Lane and great niece and nephew Kelsey and Jeremy Lane and finally, his beloved dog Izzie. He leaves behind a multitude of friends, in particular his dear friend and confidant, Rick McKean. Earl was a Marine Veteran, a great lover of life, a music-lover and musician and he loved spending time with his friends.

He could do a dead-on impression of Foghorn Leghorn, was a crossword puzzle whiz, and got all the answers first on Jeopardy. He would never hesitate to help someone who needed a favor, loved all animals (almost as much as they loved him) and the world is a lot less interesting without him in it. His family and friends will miss him dearly.
