Obituary for Stanley L. Robinson Stanley L. Robinson, 81, of St. Albans departed his earthly life in peace on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. He is now with his mother and father enjoying eternal life. Dad was born on December 12, 1936 to the late Zack and Leoda Robinson.
He was the oldest of five children and left many memories with his siblings. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James; granddaughter, Krissy. Dad was a humble, hard-working man with few words.
Though he had few words, his actions spoke loudly and he instilled tremendous morals in his family with his actions. Dad had many passions, but his biggest passion was fishing and being in his shop doing wood working. He was amazing with his work and we will cherish his gifts forever.
He proudly served the United States Army and dearly love his country. Because of the love of his country, dad followed politics closely. He would proudly speak his thoughts and never backed down or swayed from anyone with a different opinion.
He stood to his beliefs. Dad accepted our Lord into his heart on Monday, August 27, 2018. It was a joyous occasion and his transformation to his new life was amazing and exactly how we are told it should be.
In the last weeks of his life, he proudly spread the word of Jesus and wanted to be sure he was doing what he was supposed to be doing as a Christian. Dad is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Nancy L. Robinson; sons, Eric of Stoutsville, OH and Tim of St. Albans; daughters, Patricia of Charleston and Sandra (Sean) of Hillsborough, NC; eight grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley; brothers, Steve (Donna) and Michael (Susan). Also surviving are many nieces and nephews that have fond memories of him.
As much as we loved our dad and will miss him dearly, we are comforted knowing he is enjoying eternal life and he is now our angel watching over us. I know Mawmaw welcomed him with open arms and he was so happy to see her. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make donations in dads honor to the Wounded Warrior Program.
