Obituary for David Allen Young David Allen Young, 52 of St. Albans passed away Sunday October 7, 2018. Born March 28, 1966 in Charleston, WV, David was a son of Robert Young and the late Mary Cormier Young. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Young.

David was an electrician by trade of over 30 years with the IBEW local #466, three of those years he served as a business agent. David loved the outdoors from boating, to white water rafting and most recently scuba diving. He also considered himself quite the grill master and enjoyed cooking, woodworking and making crafts.

David is survived by his children; Ryan Young (Odana Chaney), Rachele Slonaker (Jack), Kristen Young and Kelsey Young. He loved being a Papaw to his three grandchildren, Sophia, Jaxon and Abel Slonaker. He is also survived by his father, Robert Young; siblings, Robin Thornburg (Dennis), Bobby Young (Cheryl) and Theresa Koon (Michael) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00am Friday October 12, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, St. Albans with the Reverend Father Patrick M. McDonough as celebrant. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans.
