Obituary for Nina Evelyn Perry Nina Evelyn Perry, 79, of Kanawha City went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 29, 2018. She was born in Baileysville, Wyoming County to the late Hershel and Inez Short Cook. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Warren Perry and daughter, Andrea Perry Myers.

Nina retired from Highland Hospital and was a former employee of Cedar Coal Company. She was a member of the Southeast Church of the Nazarene. She graduated from Baileysville High School and was a graduate of Bluefield Business College.

Some of Nina’s hobbies were reading, shopping, traveling, attending all the grandchildren’s activities, watching WVU games with her family and attending monthly luncheons with her friends from Highland Hospital. She was a 55 year resident of Kanawha City. She was a second mom to Shannon and Blake, and they will forever miss their Grammi.

Surviving are her daughter, Lisa Henry (Steve) of Kanawha City; grandchildren, Shannon Henry and Blake Henry; aunts, Erdene Snider (Sonny) and Verlee Stewart; uncles, Dutch Short and Wonnie Short (Chestene); special friends, Anne Giersch (Fred), Mary Ann Finney and Dolly Graley; several cousins. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Southeast Church of the Nazarene, 5102 MacCorkle Ave. , SE.

, Charleston 25304 with Pastor Ollie Parsons officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
