Obituary for Phyllis Ann Totten Phyllis Ann Totten, 84, of St. Albans passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. Born January 31, 1934 in Keith, WV, she was a daughter of the late Bruce and Ruby Janet May Hendricks. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Bruce Donald and Richard Dean Hendricks as well as her husband, William Totten.

Phyllis was a 1951 graduate of Sherman High School and received her higher education from West Virginia State University and West Virginia University. She was a long-time educator having taught at Hansford and Highlawn elementary schools in St. Albans. She was a member of St. Peter’s United Methodist Church where she was active with the Jean Cale Circle, the hand bell choir, and sang with the sanctuary choir.

Surviving are her children, Vickie Totten Lowe (Jimmy) of Mableton, GA, William Dempsey Totten (Carole) of Hurricane, Debbie Totten Rectenwald (Bill) of Given; grandchildren, Jamie Miranda Totten, William Edward Totten; great-grandchildren, William Franklin Totten, Alex Ashanti Facemyer and Ella Rose Facemyer. Also surviving are her sisters, Jewel Hendricks Rader of Winchester, VA, Sandra Gail Hendricks Ervin of St. Albans. Funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, October 5 2018 at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, St. Albans, with Rev.

Paul Mateer officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas. Visitation will be held 6-8pm Thursday at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans.
