Obituary for Betty S. Polen Betty S. Polen, 82, of St. Albans passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington after a short illness. She was born in St. Albans to the late Cecil W. and Harriette Evelyn King Sanson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ves Polen; sons, Gregory and Michael Polen; brothers, Cecil Eugene “Buck” Sanson and William H. “Billy” Sanson.

She was a homemaker and a Christian. Surviving are her loving children, Deborah White (Joe) of Charleston; son, Vesselin Polen (Barbara) of St. Albans; brother Richard Sanson of St. Albans. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Steven, Timothy, Seth, Rezja, Beki, Kristen, Kilian and 11 great grandchildren, Hailey, Nicholas, Anna, Kaden, Gracelyn, Thomas, Layla, Gideon, Jaxon, Mac, Oak and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans with Pastor Mike Jarrett officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
