Eleanor Hull Ness, 81, of Westminster, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born January 1, 1937 at the family home in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Ralph E.D. and Belva (Graham) Hull. She was the wife of the late Jack Ness, who she married at the age of 18.

They were married for 50 years, until he predeceased her on October 27, 2005. Eleanor graduated from Westminster High School in 1955. She was a Homemaker and raised her family.

She also… Read More » worked for a short time in Medical Records at Carroll Hospital Center. In her younger years she was a member of 4-H which inspired her passion for sewing, quilting, crocheting, baking and cooking. Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was a woman of great faith. She was a longtime devoted member of Westminster Church of the Brethren where she served as a Deacon for many years. She also attended Long Green Valley Church of the Brethren and Bermudian Church of the Brethren.

Surviving Eleanor are her sons John David Ness and his wife Brenda of Fallston and Allan Hull Ness of Westminster; and grandchildren Jason Ness, Stacy Ness and Alicia Daniel-Jackson; and her sister Kathleen Mitchell of Martinsburg, PA; and her loving extended family. The family will receive friends at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd. , Westminster on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Tuesday October 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Westminster Church of the Brethren,1 Park Avenue, Westminster, with Pastor Glenn McCrickard officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment will follow in Pipe Creek Cemetery, Union Bridge. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Westminster Church of the Brethren, 1 Park Avenue, Westminster, Md.
