Elizabeth J. (Pellett) Shireman,92, of Madison, Wisconsin, peacefully died at St Mary’s Hospital on April 17th, 2018. She was born to Colombia Marie (Blood) and Paul Pellett June 13, 1925 in the township of Marshall Wisconsin. Libby married John Shireman January 26, 1946 and have been happily married for 72 years.

Libby had the gift of hospitality, always offering a meal or bed to those in need. Many people benefitted from her generosity. She was very devoted to family and helped all of her sisters, mother-in-law and mother throughout their lives, devoted to daily visits and aid in any way.

Libby was a Sunday school teacher at the First Baptist Church in Madison and was involved in church ministry. Later she attended Blackhawk Church and continuing as a member of First Baptist Church in Richland Center Libby is survived by her husband John ‘Jack’, two children: Carla Ehlers(Floyd) Gurnee, Illinois; Brice (Debbie) Shireman of Maple Grove, Minnesota; grandchildren: Lindsay Ehlers (Matthew) Lambdin of Goodyear, Arizona and Kaitlyn Shireman of Maple Grove Minnesota; great grandchildren: Analee, Everett, and Jaxson Lambdin of Goodyear Arizona; She is also survived by her niece Fay (Mike) Lang of Kenosha Wisconsin, and her great niece and nephew Kelly and Joe Lang of Kenosha Wisconsin, and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Colombia and Earl Pellett, and her sisters: Marie Woodstock(Corydon), Wilma Baird (Paul), Vivian Lansdowne and nephew Allan Lansdowne.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Richland Center on Friday, April 20, 2018 with burial to follow in the Richland Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 12:30 PM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
