Elsie was a member of Shady Grove #2 Baptist Church. She worked as a LPN for many years.

Elsie was a loving wife, devoted mother and a proud Mawmaw. She will be missed by all who loved her. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Knox.

Elsie is survived by her sons, Michael Joe Knox, Phillip E. Knox and her nephew, Johnny F. (Dixie) Knox; her daughter, Mary Kathryn (Jimbo) Garrison; her grandchildren, Brian Shiloh, Myndall (Gardy), Miranda, Jimmy, Jared (Tara), and Jeana (Jason); her 9 great grandchildren and her brother, John Thomas (Gladys) Epps along with several nieces, nephews and extended loving family and friends. Chapel service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on Friday from 10 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Pastor Houston Belcher and Bro. Bill Noe will be officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank Amedysis Home Health Care of Brent and Amedysis Hospice of Tuscaloosa for the support, guidance, and care that was given to Ms. Elsie and her family.
