Obituary for Eugene E. Chyb Eugene E. Chyb, 71, of Lopatcong Township, NJ passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital – Warren Campus in Phillipsburg, NJ. Eugene was born in Duderstadt, Germany on May 9, 1947 to the late Stefan and Stefania Sbruk Chyb. Eugene was a computer programmer for AT&T, retiring after over 25 years.

Previously, he had been a Pole-tech for Bell Telephone. Eugene was a graduate Dunellen High School, Class of 1966. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Eugene was drafted 1968 and served in the Cavalier Division as a SP5. He was recipient of the Bronze Star and Air Medal. Eugene loved music, history and, most importantly, his grandchildren.

Eugene was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church of Phillipsburg and was a former member of the VFW. Eugene is survived by his wife of 46 years, Maria Mueller Chyb; daughters, Tracy Chyb Moran of Lopatcong Township and Erica Chyb Milkovitz and her husband, Robert, Jr. of Harmony Township, NJ. ; grandchildren Allan and Thomas Milkovitz; many nieces and nephews.

Eugene was predeceased by brothers, Marian and Joseph Chyb; sisters, Janina Kulinski and Alexandra Syslo. A Memorial Service will be held at Eugene’s Home on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 1pm. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be add in Eugene’s name to Veteran’s Haven North.
