Obituary for Susan M. Lawler Susan M. Lawler, 71, of Bethlehem Township, PA passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital-Anderson Campus. Susan was born in Buffalo, NY on September 30, 1947 to the late Edwin and Doris Maloney Granger. Susan was a tax advisor with Liberty Tax Service in Quakertown, PA.

Prior to working in the tax field, she was a real estate agent with Weidel Realtors of Yardley, PA. Susan was a graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School in Tonawanda, NY and Trenton State College in Trenton, NJ. She enjoyed cooking and photography, and was a passionate follower of politics.

Susan loved attending her grandchildren’s activities and spending time with her dogs. Susan was a member of Pilgrim Presbyterian Church of Phillipsburg, NJ where she was the Safe Harbor Coordinator and served as a deacon. Susan is survived by her husband of 24 years, Ed Lawler; sons, Jeffrey Berlet and his wife, Stephenie of Collegville, PA and Paul Berlet and his wife, Jill of Forks Township, PA; step-daughters, Cheryl Lawler and Karen Dougherty; a step-son, Edward Lawler; grandchildren, Samantha, Peter, Paul, and Allison; step-grandchildren, Paul, Kaylie, Jayna, Kara, and Ryleigh; and a brother, Richard Granger of Buffalo.

Susan was predeceased by a brother, James Granger. A Memorial Service for Susan will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11am at Pilgrim Presbyterian Church, 750 Belvidere Road, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. A Memorial Visitation of Family and Friends will be held from 10am until service time at the church.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Harmony Township, NJ. Rupell Funeral Home, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865, have been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Susan’s name be made to Pilgrim Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society, 7 Ridgedale Ave, Suite 103, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.
