Obituary for Marjorie Miller Hughes Marjorie Hughes (Miller), 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Born and raised in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of Sadie (Deremer) and J. Clifford Miller, a former Mayor of Lopatcong Township. Marjorie was well travelled through her life, visiting many of the States in the US and living briefly in the islands of the Pacific.

She raised her family in Bridgewater, New Jersey, returning to Phillipsburg in her retirement. She worked for thirty years in the engineering department of an electronics equipment manufacturer. Widowed at an early age, she was a living example of hard work and determination.

She loved singing, football, bell choir, and playing cards with the gang. Through it all, a wonderful mother, a kind person always fun to be around. She is survived by her sister Dorothy, her two sons and their families, a nephew and many friends and family in the Phillipsburg area.

She would want it said that she loved them all and that she was proud of their accomplishments in life. She was blessed with the opportunity to see her two grandchildren grow up and to be involved in their lives. As any grandmother would, she loved them most of all.

She goes now to be with her parents and the long awaited reunion with her loving husband. Any who knew her, will miss her greatly. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 4pm at the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC; 465 Memorial Parkway; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865.

A Memorial Visitation for Family and Friends will be held from 3pm until service time at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at the Pluckemin Presbyterian Cemetery. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Marjorie Miller Hughes please visit our Sympathy Store.
