Eugene Hoyt Dingus July 07, 1933 – December 17, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Kingsport, TN– Eugene Hoyt Dingus, 85 Eugene Hoyt Dingus, age 85 of Kingsport, TN went to be with the Lord Monday, December 17, 2018 at Ridgecrest Manor, Duffield VA. He was born in Fort Blackmore, VA on July 7, 1933, and was the son of the late Bent and Rissie Casteel Dingus. In addition to his parents Eugene was also preceded in death by his wife Beulah Hall Dingus; brothers, Audley, E.B. and Ray “Monk” Dingus; sisters, Hazel Ashworth and Geneva Hall.

He was employed by Eastman Chemical Co and attended Pendleton Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Dingus is survived by sisters, Sue Wallen (Bill) and Norma Sturgill; a brother Paul Dingus; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 5 to 7 PM at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, Weber City, VA.

Funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Evg. Kenneth Neeley and Rev. Lennis France officiating.

Music will be provided by Jeff Watson Graveside service will be held Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11 AM in the Holston View Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Stan Presley, Doug Presley, Phillip Dingus and Franklin Casteel. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM to follow in procession.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Ridge Manor, and many close friends for their love and support of Eugene. Special thanks to cousins Jeff and Melinda Watson, Danny Dingus, Jean Wallen, Stan and Lakie Presley, and all who visited him at the nursing facility, and all of his friends he attended church with.
