Obituary of Evangelia Karasis Evangelia Karasis of West Nyack, passed away September 14, 2018 She was born in Greece on April 28, 1937 to George and Paraskevi Gousias. Married to Antonios for 58 years, Evangelia was a wonderful homemaker. She was employed by Mary Kay Cosmetics for a number of years when her children became adults.

An active member of her local parish, she was always ready to lend a hand at every fundraising event. Evangelia cherished her family and was known for her cheerful demeanor. She loved people and always had the kindest words for everyone.

She is survived by her son William, daughter-in-law Lisa, grandchildren Sofia and Andonios, and her brother Spyros Gousias. Evangelia is predeceased by her daughter Sylvia and brother Vasilios Gousias. Visiting will be Wednesday September 19th from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home, inc.
