Obituary for Ferrell ” Chalk-Eye” Whited Ferrell “Chalk-Eye” Whited, age 63, of the Miller Creek section of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Wednesday (August 29, 2018) in a Bristol, Tennessee hospital. Born July 1, 1955 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Columbus Earl and Peggy Hale Whited. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a disabled coal miner.
Survivors include six children, Jamie Lynn Whited and Brian Ferrell Whited both of Honaker, Danny Heath Whited of Cedar Bluff, Candy Long and husband, Glenn of Lebanon, Aaron Whited and wife, Corrine of South Bolling, South Carolina, and Tyler Whited and wife, Alexandra of Knoxville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Isaac Long, Dalton Long, Samuel Helbert and wife, Whitney, Jacklyn Denise Whited, Samantha J.F. Whited, Skylar Whited, and Anna Mae Whited; two great-grandchildren, Dixie Helbert and Gunner Helbert; five siblings, Michael Whited and wife, Helen, Herald “Jake” Whited and wife, Sue, Cathy Ward and husband, Dusty, Missy Whited, and Marty Whited and wife, Emma; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Damron and Rev.
Phyllis Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in the Whited Cemetery at Swords Creek, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Michael Harris, Matthew Harris, Mike Deel, David “Red” Owens, Ricky “Cotton” Perkins and Todd Whited.
Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Perkins, Doug Whited, Donnie Whited and Ted Whited. The family will receive friends after 6 PM Tuesday at the Honaker Funeral Home where an evening service will be conducted at 7 PM. Online condolences may be made at www.
