Obituary for Ralph Dye Sr. Rev. Ralph Duane Dye, Sr., age 85, of Rowe, Virginia, passed away Wednesday (October 17, 2018) in a Richlands, Virginia hospital. Born April 17, 1933 in West Virginia, he was a son of the late Ernest and Nannie Dye.
He was a United States Navy veteran and a retired coal miner. He had served in the ministry for over thirty years, pastoring several area churches and was currently attending Tunnel Hill Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Dye, one son, Ralph Dye, Jr., and one brother, Edward Dye.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Dye of the home; three children, Mona Hunsucker, Steve Dye, and Jimmy Dye; step-children, Betty Sue Woodward, Margaret Ann Blankenship, Franklin Wayne Keen, Gertrude Keen, Martha Ann Campbell, Joseph Kyle Keen, Rita Faye Blankenship, and Diane Cook; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Chester Ball and Rev.
Larry Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
