Florine’s Obituary Funeral Services for Florine Broussard will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Family Life Church, 2223 Dulles Drive Lafayette, LA. The family request that visiting hours be observed from 3 PM until time of services at 7 PM. Pastor Todd Menard will officiate the services.

Florine Broussard was born April 29, 1937 to the late Raoul and Angel Menard Romero in Lafayette, LA. She entered eternal rest on the afternoon of Friday, January 18, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Florine loved cooking for her family every Sunday.

She also enjoyed drinking coffee with her friends and family. When we reflect on her life we think of her being an awesome wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to so many. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren bought so much joy to her life.

Florine had a way of dealing with others that when she met them she could make them feel loved by her immediately. Her heart was golden and that we will forever miss. Florine leaves a legacy to be cherished by her husband of 60years Lawrence Broussard; eight children William Broussard, Willy (Norma) Broussard, Mary (Clyde) Boullion, Wally Broussard, Mary Jane (Zeke) Hooper, Wayne Broussard, Angela (Paul) Martin and Paul Broussard; two sisters Irene Alleman and Annie Lou Miller; brothers Minus Romero and John Romero twenty two grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.

Florine now reunites in heaven with her parents Raoul Romero and Angel Menard Romero; sisters Mary Ann Romero and Agnes Desormeaux and one brother Vernice Romero. The family would like to say a special Thank you to all the Nurses and Doctors at University Hospital and Clinics and to Amedysis Hospice that took awesome care of our mom. Your many acts of kindness did not go unnoticed.
