Obituary of Gloria Schlosser Gloria Schlosser of Glen Spey, NY passed away on June 12, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was 66. She was born July 26, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late George Montenes Sr. and Adeline Falco Montenes.

Gloria married the love of her life, Clifford A. Schlosser on October 3, 1970 in Commack, NY. She worked for many years as a Bookkeeper for Huntington Honda in Huntington, NY. Gloria also loved to volunteer, having spent time with children with special needs in Commack, NY and at the Spring Hill Hospital in Spring Hill, Florida.

Most recently, she volunteered her time helping out a kindergarten class at George Ross Mackenzie Elementary School in Glen Spey, NY. Gloria had a kind and generous heart, greeting everyone she met with a hug and a kiss. Whenever you were in her company, you felt as if you were a part of the family.

You never left her home with an empty stomach or without a smile on your face. She had a houseful of pets (Ruby, Reggie, Lola, Junior, Darla, Ebony and Onyx) that brought her such joy. Gloria cared for her family deeply, often putting their needs before her own.

She adored her grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to cheer them on. She made sure every occasion was special, be it a holiday celebration or a trip to the park. Though she faced many health challenges throughout her life, she didn’t let them slow her down and her resiliency will always be an inspiration to those who love her.

Schlosser and his wife, Kristine West Islip, NY Brothers: George Montenes Commack, NY Stephen Montenes Commack, NY Grandchildren: Grace, Jackson & Mason Loretto and Melissa, Robert & Juliet Schlosser Also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Gloria was predeceased by her father, George Montenes Sr. and infant sister, Susan Montenes. Friends may call at Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main Street, Port Jervis, NY 12771 on June 14, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm.

Funeral services will be held on June 15, 2018 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with the Reverend Patt Kauffman officiating. Entombment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are by the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771 845.
