Obituary for Harold Richard Osborne Harold Osborne – Dungannon, VA Harold Richard Osborne, 75, Dungannon, VA passed away, Monday, January 21, 2019 at his residence. Born in Scott County, VA on November 22, 1943, he was the son of the late E. Horace and Lillian (Hillman) Osborne. After his retirement as a brick mason, Harold enjoyed watching NASCAR and old westerns on T.V.
He loved going to the shows at the Scott County Horse Park and watching his mule, Kate perform before his deteriorating health prevented him from doing so. In addition to his parents, his wife, Janice Hensley Osborne, sister, Judy Mann, brother, Earl Osborne, and his nephew, Jeff Mann preceded him in death. Surviving are his sisters-in-law, Lucy Mann, Carol (Clayton) Williams, Patty Hensley, Gladys Mann, and Selby Childress; brothers-in-law, George (Peggy) Hensley, Joe (Judy) Hensley, Bill (Charlotte) Hensley,and James Hensley, Jr.; a niece, Teresa (Wayne) Sluss; along with several other nieces and nephews; and his special friends and caregivers, James and Barbara Hubbard and Miranda Hunt.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Larry Beavers officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Hensley Family Cemetery, Dungannon, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Hensley Home Place at 1:45 p.m. to proceed to the graveside service.
