Harry E. Spence, Jr., 92, of Owensboro died on April, 24, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on April 11, 1926 in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania to the late Harry E. Spence, Sr. and Lola Jewell Hackney Spence. For many years, Harry worked in the hotel industry and also worked as a Teller at Central Bank and later National City Bank.

Harry attended First Presbyterian Church until his health prevented him from going. He loved to sing and shared his talent with the Owensboro Symphony Chorus and the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Wilkison Spence, on March 4, 2014.

Survivors include his brother, Tom Spence of Richmond, VA; nephews, J.T. Spence of Covington, KY and Thomas Spence of Dallas, TX. There will be no service or visitation. James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
