Hazel Marie Crosby April 02, 1931 – February 12, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Hazel Marie Crosby, 87, of Crestview, FL and Owasso, OK, and formerly of the Macon, MO, area, passed away at the Brookdale Senior Living Facility in Niceville on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. Marie was born on April 2, 1931, in Macon, the daughter of Clyde and Mary Mae (Istchner) Douglas. She was united in marriage to Finis Faught on April 11, 1958.

Marie was later united in marriage to Everett Crosby on December 15, 1979. She was a member of the Plainview Christian Church near Ten Mile, MO, and later a member of the Niceville Christian Church in Niceville, FL. Marie was a school teacher for 42 years with 28 of those years in 3rd grade at Macon R-1 School.

Marie loved to help people and did a lot of volunteer work, she especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Marie is survived by two daughters, Janice Wine and her husband Larry of Owasso, and Joyce Kidwell and her husband Ken of Crestview, four grandchildren, David Wine and his wife Angela of Collinsville, Rachel Hunter and her husband George of Crestview, Trisha Merrill and her husband Mark of Niceville, Kyle Wine and his wife Audrey of Verdigris, 5 step-grandchildren, Christina Robinson and Samantha Staples of Columbia, Michael Robinson of Sedalia, DJ Crosby of Elmer, Beth Drake and her husband Chris and eight great-grandchildren (Kylie, Heaven, Landon, Adriel, Zach, Natalie, Nora and Charlotte), three step great-grandchildren (Sara-Susan, Galahad and Timothy), one niece Hazel Ann, and in-laws and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, one infant son, David Faught, one step-daughter, Rhonda Robinson, and one brother, Dean Douglas.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 17, 2019, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery north of Macon. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of service on Sunday.

The family suggests memorials to St. Jude’s Hospital.
