Jack L. Kikendall Sr., 77 HARTFORD CITY – Jack L. Kikendall Sr., 77, passed away at 9 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Portland on February 7, 1941 to Leonard “Biff” Kikendall and Elizabeth (Fuhrman) Kikendall. Both of his parents are deceased.

Jack graduated from Portland High School in 1959 and served in the United States Army from August 6, 1959 until July 31, 1965. He married Sandra K. He enjoyed playing euchre and loved to walk enjoyed NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon’s car and was a Notre Dame fan. Jack was a member of Moyer-Pooler American Legion and MOOSE Lodge, where he has served as a former State Representative. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Sandra K. Kikendall of Hartford City; children, Jackie Lee (wife, Sherri) Kikendall Jr. of Gas City, Scott A. (wife, Cindy) Kikendall of Jonesboro, Brenda L. (husband, Mark) Ancil of Gas City, Joan M. (husband, Al) Bunch of Gas City, Steve R. (wife, Hanna) Kikendall of Jonesboro, Lorri A. (husband, Chuck) Smith of Hartford City, Christopher T. Beckley (companion, Betsy) of Anderson and Ryan A. (wife, Trista) Kikendall of Columbus; 20 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Maureen Derringer of Mississippi; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City with Pastor Troy Kaufman officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Muncie. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Keplinger Funeral Home.
