James Monroe Clutts, 60, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 10:05 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. He was born July 13, 1957 in Granite City, a son of Joanna Mae (Poole) Clutts and the late James Charles Clutts. He married Lillian K. (Smith) Clutts on March 21, 1991 in Granite City and she survives.

He had worked several years as a steelworker with Feralloy Steel in Granite City. He collected die cast cars and loved watching movies and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends. In addition to his beloved wife of 27 years and mother, he is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia Marie and Scot Mason of Pomona, Illinois and Jessica and David Hellige of Granite City; three aunts, Doris Leibold of Granite City, Mary Vasques of Granite City and Patsy Manning of California; a uncle, Michael Clutts of Morrisville, Indiana; mother-in-law, Leona Tanner of Granite City; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Derek Smith. In celebration of his life, private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Clutts Family.
