Nada Kay Cope, age 67, of Glen Carbon, IL, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Siteman Cancer Center, St. Louis, MO. Nada was born on October 15, 1950 in Advance, MO, a daughter of the late Benard VanGennip and Geniva (Robison) VanGennip. On June 24, 1972, Nada married Dale Cope; the love of her life, in Spanish Lake, MO.

She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Edwardsville, IL. Nada enjoyed attending Edwardsville High School Tiger sporting events, especially when her grandchildren were playing. She was well known to even the coaches, because she never missed a game, even the out of town games.

She also enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. Nada had a special bond with her sisters, whom she loved dearly. Her greatest joy was spending time with family.

Nada loved life, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Nada is survived by her devoted husband, Dale Cope of Glen Carbon, IL; loving children, Stephanie (Eppy) Epenesa of Glen Carbon, IL and Dan (Amy) Cope of Troy, IL; dear siblings, Linda (Jerry) Starr of Litchfield, IL, Debbie Rhodes of Cape Girardeau, MO and David VanGennip of Farmington, MO; proud grandmother to Samantha, A.J., Eric and Iosefatu Epenesa; nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Visitation will be held form 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road, Glen Carbon, IL. In celebration of her life, funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, Glen Carbon, IL, with Pastor Rob Schneider officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL.

Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel to support Edwardsville High School Tiger sports in memory of Nada Cope. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www. irwinchapel.com.
