Terry L. Midland, 70 of Taylorville, Illinois passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at his home. Terry was born on February 17, 1948 in Fort Dodge, Iowa; the son of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Prater) Midland. Terry worked for Georgia Pacific Paper Company in shipping and receiving.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. Terry enjoyed his days of watching NASCAR, cooking and keeping informed by watching the news. Most of all Terry loved the many trips he took with his family and enjoyed all the special times he shared with his family and friends.

Terry is survived by and will be missed by his daughter; Melissa Midland of Taylorville, Illinois; sister-in-law, Susan Suhayda of Glenwood, Illinois and many other close family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his wife; Cynthia S. (Willaredt) whom he married on June 9, 1973. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Karla Frost officiating at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon.

Burial will follow with full military rites at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
