Roland “Ron” Edward Koeneman, age 68, of Granite City, Il, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at his home. Ron was born on September 28, 1949 in Granite City, IL, a son of the late William Koeneman and Virginia (Wilhelmy) Koeneman. Ron was born and raised in Granite City and was a graduate of Granite City Senior High School.

He retired from Graybar Electric after 25 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed shooting guns, nice cars and long drives. His greatest joy was spending time with his loved ones.

Ron will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by beloved companion and pet, Bailey. He is survived by and will be missed by loved ones, Jackie, Kristy, David, Erin, Thor and Marley Fuhrman, and many close cousins and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL. In celebration of his life, a memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, with Rev. Danny Cox officiating.

Private family interment will be held at St. John Cemetery on Nameoki Road, Granite City, IL. Memorial donations may be given to Granite City A.P.A. and donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.
