Sally passed away peacefully on June 4, 2018 after a lengthy battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born October 19, 1961 in Gainesville, Florida to Andrew and Pat Arras. She was the third of four children and always stood her ground in the pecking order.

Growing up, Sally enjoyed horseback riding, playing tennis, and reading. Sally was gifted in language arts which she applied to the Journalism Club at Parkway South Senior High School where she graduated in 1979. Her language arts skills were professionally applied to the development of business proposals for Summit Strategies Group where she was employed for more than 25 years.

Sally was known for extraordinary competence and dedication. Sally was also a dedicated mother to her beloved son Burton Harrawood. She served as Assistant Scout Master in Boy Scouts for many years and was so proud of Burt when he earned Eagle Scout.

In more recent years, Sally found the love of her life in Craig Moss. They have been inseparable since August 2012. Sally demonstrated her deep love for Craig by caring for his boys Zane, Gabe, and Finn Moss.

Sally became a dedicated hockey mom, and found joy in watching the boys play football, wrestle, and advance their education. Sally was a loving sister, aunt, and friend who remembered every birthday and cherished spending time with loved ones. She could walk into a room with 100 strangers, and walk out with 100 friends.

That’s just who she was. Sally was preceded in death by parents Andrew and Patricia Arras, and brother Andrew Arras, Jr She is survived by her soulmate Craig Moss, son Burton Harrawood, step-sons Zane, Gabe, and Finn Moss, sisters Luanne Plackemeier (Robert) and Mary Peterson (William), and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road, Glen Carbon, IL. In celebration of her life, funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, with Rev. Charles West officiating.
