Dorothy “Dotti” Marie Diak, age 58, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018. Dotti was born on June 12, 1960 in St. Louis, MO, a daughter of Norma (Crawford) Diak of Granite City, IL and the late Leonard R. Diak. Dotti was a gifted artist who enjoyed listening to music, drawing, painting and solving crossword puzzles.

She was all about fashion and makeup trends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Dotti loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her dear mother, Dotti is survived by her loving children, Maya Becton and Taylor Lantrip both of Granite City, IL; beloved sisters, Jeannie Diak of Granite City, IL and Donna Diak of Penrose, CO; proud grandmother to Brayden Lantrip and Talon Lantrip; extended family and many wonderful friends. Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL.

In celebration of her life, a memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, with Rev. Charles West officiating. Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
