Deronda Faye Hinson, age 66, of St. Jacob, IL, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon, IL. Deronda was born on September 7, 1951 in St. Louis, MO; a daughter of Gladys (Fuller) Lemonds of White Oak, MO and the late William E. Lemonds. On January 2, 1981, Deronda married Donnie Hinson in Collinsville, IL.

She was a faithful member of Meadow Heights Baptist Church in Collinsville, IL, where she sang in the church choir and taught Sunday school for many years. She was a proud homemaker who loved taking care of and spending time with her family. Deronda loved life, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her father, Deronda was preceded in death by one brother, Dewayne Lemonds. In addition to her mother Deronda is survived by her devoted husband of thirty-seven years, Donnie Hinson of St. Jacob, IL; loving children, Stephen (Karen) Creek of Mulberry Grove, IL, Angel Creek of St. Jacob, IL and Mike Hinson of Urbana, IL; dear siblings, Johnnie (Junko) Lemonds of Lawrenceville, GA, Danny (Janet) Lemonds of Mammoth Spring, AR, Debbie Ellison of White Oak, MO, Jerry (Becky) Lemonds of Collinsville, IL and Pastor Jimmy (Susan) Lemonds of Caruthersville, MO; proud grandmother to Jacob Hart of Vandalia, IL, Abby Creek of Chicago, IL, Aaron Creek of Mulberry Grove, IL and Dawson Creek of Mulberry Grove, IL; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road, Glen Carbon, IL. In celebration of her life, funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, with Pastor Jimmy Lemonds officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

Memorial donations may be given to Meadow Heights Baptist Church or the National Kidney Foundation. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.
