Mary Nickoloff, age 90, of Munster, Indiana, formerly of Hammond, Indiana passed away April 30, 2018 in Edwardsville, Illinois. Born February 9, 1928 in Hammond, Indiana, to the late Elia and Yagna; nee Saroff, Nickoloff. Mary graduated from Hammond High School in 1946.

Upon graduation from high school, Mary worked for Abrahamson’s Motor Sales in Hammond, Indiana until 1963 when she began her career at Mercantile National Bank where she retired in 1993 after 30 years of service. As a dedicated volunteer, Mary spent 40 years volunteering her time in the gift shop at Community Hospital in Munster. Mary was also a lifelong member of the Macedonian Ladies Club of Hammond/Munster, Indiana.

Mary was a devoted daughter, sister, niece, aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt. She will always be remembered for the love and devotion she had for her family and the time she spent with them, as her family was her passion. Mary is survived by her nieces and nephews; Chris (MaryAnn) Nickoloff, John (Jane) Nickoloff, Skip (Julie) Nickoloff, Jane (Jeff) Engler, Kristina (Rick) Schumacher, Nanci Erwin, Diana (Steve) Rogers, MaryEllen Cardinale, Kathy (Tim) Childers, Norma Bellcoff.

Mary is also survived by her sister-in-law, Ellen Nickloff, 17 great-nieces and nephews and 14 great-great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Elia and Yagna, nee; (Saroff) Nickoloff, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers; Nick E. Nickoloff, Christ E. Nickoloff, John E. Nickoloff, Steve E. Nickoloff, her identical twin sister, Diana, nee; (Nickoloff) Bellcoff, one brother-in-law, John N. Bellcoff, two sisters-in-law, Elsie, nee; (Bierbower), Nickoloff, Helen, nee; (Chulea) Nickoloff, two nephews, Mike Erwin and Frank Cardinale and one great-nephew, John N. Rogers. In celebration of Mary’s life, a visitation will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet in Munster, Indiana.

Mary’s visitation will continue on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon. Burial will follow visitation on Monday at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to the charity of one’s choice.
