Obituary for Jean Koczara Jean Pamela Koczara, longtime resident of Sterling Heights, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on April 19, 2018. She was 77 years of age. Jean was born on January 5, 1941 in Wantage, England, daughter of the late George and Phyllis (Pierpoint) Collier.

Jean met the love of her life, Ronald, while he was serving our country honorably in the U.S. Airfoce while stationed in England. The couple was united in marriage to her beloved husband on September 14, 1964 in England. They moved to Detroit in 1965 and made their home in Sterling Heights in 1973.

The couple was blessed with two beautiful children of whom she loved and cherished. Jean provided a loving home and made sure her family never went without. A wonderful mother, she enjoyed crafting and sewing.

Jean always looked forward to the warm months of Michigan so she could tend to her flower garden which was always just breathtaking and beautiful. She will always be known for her kind and loving heart and her beautiful smile. Jean will be deeply missed and her light will continue to shine in our hearts forever.

Jean is the loving wife of Ronald; cherished mother of Vincent (Leisa) Koczara and Tina (Dan) Findley; dearest grandmother of Amanda, Joshua, Paige, Steven and three adored great grandchildren; beloved sister of Bridget (Tony) Jefferies; and dear step-sister of Nick (Claire) and Barbara (Garry). Visitation will be held on Sunday at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, from 4pm until the time of service at 7pm. Share memories at www.
