Jeremy David Byers “Big Country”, 42, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Parkersburg, passed away Monday September 10, 2018 in Pittsburgh. He was born August 9, 1976 in Parkersburg West Virginia. Jeremy graduated from Williamstown High School in 1996.

He is a veteran of the United States Marines. He is survived by his mother Shirley Thomas of Parkersburg, his son Colby Grissom of Tennessee, brother Doug Byers, sister Julie Weaver, nephew Drew Weaver of Florida. He was proceeded in death by his father Kenneth L. Byers and step father Stanley E. Thomas.

The funeral service will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Bob May officiating. Burial will be at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens with full military honors by American Legion Post #15. Visitation will be from 11 – 1 on Saturday prior to the services.
