Thelma L. Dowler Thelma L. Bartlett Dowler, 92 of Parkersburg, passed away September 2, 2018 at the Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born December 8, 1925 in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Charlie L. and Maggie (Marks) Price. Mrs. Dowler retired from the Wood County Board of Education where she was a cook at Neal Elementary.

She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Parkersburg. Mrs. Dowler is the last surviving member of her immediate family, having outlived two husbands and 10 siblings. Survivors include nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law, Madge Price of Spencer, two step daughters: Judy Moran (Alan) of Clarksburg and Denise VanValey (Jeff) of Micanopy, FL.

She also leaves behind four step granddaughters: Rachel Moran-Brown, Erin Moran, Kelli Thompson and Emily Pridgen, 6 step great grandchildren and special friends: Martha, Shelley and Tina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Walter Bartlett, second husband Wayne Dowler, brothers: Glenna, Oral, Oris, Eugene, Gailey and Cleon Price and sisters: Jewell Brooker, Ruby Wallace, Evedean Price and Rosa Parsons. Funeral services will be Wednesday 2PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Reverend Dan Stephens officiating.

Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 12-2PM. Online guests may send condolences to the family by visiting www.
