Obituary for Joe Mills Benjamin Joseph “Joe” Mills, 66, of Annapolis, MO, passed away May 11, 2018 at his residence. He was born May 31, 1951 to parents Rodney and Virgie Nadine(Brewster) Mills. Joe lived most of his life in Annapolis area.

He served in the United States Army. September 19, 1970 Joe and Nancy (Whitchurch) were married and blessed with three children. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He loved to work and was a hard worker. He worked in the Timber Industry all his life. Enjoyed attending church at Annapolis First Baptist, hunting, fishing, traveling and especially spending time with his family.

He also enjoyed sitting at Sherrill’s Minit Mart drinking coffee with friends In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers; John, Tom, and Mike Mills; nephew: John “Manny” Mills; niece: Selena Sutton. Joe is survived by his wife of forty-seven years; children: Rodney Joe Mills of Annapolis, MO, Nancy Joe (Charles) Walton of Fort Lee, VA, Tommi Joe (Matthew) Batson of Annapolis, MO; grandchildren: Aurellia “Chyann” Mills-Rhodes, Montana Mills, Sara Walton, Maddisyn Mills, Leeland “Oscar” Batson, Daniel Walton, Zachary Walton; sisters: Stella (Robert) Firebaugh of Cherokee Pass, MO and Margie Sherrill of Hogan, MO and many nieces and nephews. Joe will be greatly missed by many friends and family.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Funeral services will follow Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 11:00 am also at the Piedmont Chapel. Interment will be at Annapolis Cemetery, Annapolis, MO.
