Obituary for Jimmy Wallace Jimmy Lloyd Wallace, 84, of Mill Spring, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at his residence. Jimmy was born February 24, 1934, at St. Louis, MO, son of Snow Charles and Mildred (Chastain) Wallace. Jimmy enjoyed music and often played with family and friends.

During his younger years he had appeared on the Ed Sullivan show beating out Mel Tillis. Although Jimmy enjoyed music immensely he was drawn to family life more. On July 11, 1959 he married Jeanne Smith and to this union four children were born.

He served his country with the United States Marine Corps until retirement having served multiple tours in Viet Nam and Japan. After service he worked for Barnes Hospital as chief baker. He was of the Christian Faith and often enjoyed spending Sunday’s with Jeanne listening to gospel music by Elvis.

In spare time he enjoyed playing golf and watching baseball and just being around nature. He also enjoyed watching Cardinals Baseball and The Walking Dead. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Jeanne; children: Timothy Wallace of Piedmont, MO, Misty Eveland and husband Jeff of St. Charles, MO; Casey Wallace and wife Denna of House Springs, MO; grandchildren: Miranda and husband Arthur, Mitchell, Jessie, Timothy, Sarah, Ashley, Megan, William; great grandchildren: Haley, Charli, Braden and Luke; sisters: Linda Wilder of Ellsinore, MO, Dee Dee Vance and Vonda Wallace both of Poplar Bluff, MO.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Robert James Wallace; brothers: Carl Edwin Wallace, Melvin Charles Wallace and Vernon Wallace; sister Betty Wallace. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont. Services will follow at 3:00 pm, at the chapel.

Burial with full military honors will take place at Carson Hill Cemetery near Mill Spring. Online condolences can be made at www.
