Ms. Johnnie Loucille Jenkins, 81, of Adrian passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Emanuel Medical Center following a brief illness. Ms. Jenkins was born September 4, 1936 in Millen, Ga. to the late Mitchell Lamar Gay and Georgia Cowart Gay.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Mitchell L. Gay, Jr., and Kenneth Gay; sister, Sara Gay. Ms. Jenkins has lived in Emanuel County for the last 55 years where she worked at Calvine and worked at the hospital as a nurse’s assistant. She loved reading her Bible, listening to music, and especially loved her grandchildren.

Ms. Jenkins attended New Beginnings and Rock Worship Center. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Thompson (Henry) of Swainsboro; son, Tommy Jenkins (Madaline) of Meeks; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral Services will be in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 3:00 p.m. Saturday May 26, 2018 with Reverend Tim Price officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at www. chapmanfhofswainsboro.com Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of the arrangements for Ms. Johnnie Loucille Jenkins, 81, of Adrian.
