Mrs. Laura Joyce Jones, 89, of Adrian passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Meadows Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Jones was born March 27, 1929 in Norristown, Ga. to the late Arthur Hutcheson and Myrtice Hall Hutcheson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wiley Allen Jones, Jr.; brothers, Newburn Hutcheson, and Hughie Hutcheson. Mrs. Jones was a seamstress, she enjoyed going to the mountains, reading, drawing, cooking, and gardening. She lived for her children, and grandchildren.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church for 50 years. Survivors include her daughters, Patsy Jones Irvin (Vann), and Dale Bishop (Thurman) both of Adrian; son, Steve Jones (Brenda) of Adrian; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 with Elder J.E. Griffis officiating. Interment will follow in Mt.

Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church.

Pallbearers are Chad Hutcheson, Todd Hutcheson, Tim Hutcheson, Wesley Hardee, Lynn Hutcheson, and Joe Hall. Anyone desiring to provide food to the Jones family please bring it to Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church social hall Saturday, July 28, 2018 as the family will be gathering after the service.
