Juanita’s Obituary Juanita Ruth Marple, 71, of Pilot Point, TX, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019. She was born April 5, 1947 in Cameron, NC to Emil and Stella Geneva (Coe) Rice. Juanita and her husband, Ruben “Shorty” Garcia, have been together since the summer of 1994.

She is a member of Local Union 745. Juanita is survived by her husband, Shorty of Pilot Point, TX; two daughters, Cindy Carpenter and husband Cody McManigal of Pilot Point, TX and Missy Gilliland of Pilot Point, TX; three grandchildren, Cody Daniel Carpenter, Caedon Reese York, and Ryleigh Morgan York; two brothers, Terry and Charles Rice both of Pilot Point, TX; and two sisters, Joyce Gilliland of Sanger, TX and Donna Jones of Haslet, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Stella; and two brothers, Marvin David Rice and Steve Coe.

Visitation will be held 6:30PM-7:30PM, Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX. A funeral service will be held 10:00AM, Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX with Ronny Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey, TX.
