Laura Lanell (Cheatwood) Collinsworth January 03, 1952 – January 27, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Mrs. Laura Lanell (Cheatwood) Collinsworth, age 67 of Castor, went to be with with the Lord Sunday, January 27, 2019. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Old Saline Baptist Church in Saline from 5:00PM until the family retires for the evening. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 10:00AM at Old Saline Baptist Church with Reverends Michael Sanders, Stuart Toms, and Mike Reed officiating.

Interment will follow in Old Saline Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Mrs. Laura, to most everyone that knew and loved her, was a loving wife, mother and precious Nana. She was born January 3, 1952 to Lonnie and Dossie Cheatwood of Bienville Parish.

Her children would tell you, “Moma was the true reflection of a Proverbs 31 woman”. She loved everyone she met and always looked for the good in everyone. Mrs. Laura loved her husband, kids and grandkids more than anything.

Spending time with her family was her favorite thing to do. When preparing for this day she wrote her favorite places were her family home and her church. She wrote, “I want my family and friends to know how important they were to me and to always love and live life to the fullest”.

Mrs. Laura is survived by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Collinsworth of Castor; three children, Mavis Walker (Clint) of Black Lake, Nathan Collinsworth (Lisa) of Castor, Minnie Crawford (Kevin) of Lucky; 8 grandchildren, KayCee Collinsworth (Hunter Morris), Paige Pullig (Martin Pullig), Klay Zumwalt, Karah Zumwalt, Kenton Lee Crawford, Kamryn Zumwalt, Ambree Collinsworth, Colt Collinsworth. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Dossie (Caskey) Cheatwood; father in law, Harris Collinsworth. Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews, Carlton Golden, Buddy Sullivan, Lee Wise, Jr., Michael Wise, Scotty Sullivan, Luke Cheatwood, David Golden, Alvie Bullock, Joey Bullock.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Klay Zumwalt, Kenton Lee Crawford, Colt Collinsworth, Hunter Morris, PFC. Martin Pullig. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
