Linford’s Obituary Linford S. Shoemaker, age 90, of Souderton, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Marian (West) Shoemaker with whom he shared over 45 years of marriage. Born March 22, 1928 in Souderton, he was a son of the late Jonas L. Shoemaker and Lizzie O. (Smith) Shoemaker.

Linford (Linny) loved to be outdoors; fishing, camping, canoeing, and the many cross country road trips they took including Alaska twice. He always loved going to Lancaster County for Chow Chow. Hobbies included restoring antiques and carving wooden birds.

In addition to his wife, Marian, he is survived by his step daughter Dawn Williams and her husband Stephen; brother Harvey Shoemaker and his wife Lorraine, and sister Ella Mae Shoemaker. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his daughter Donna, brothers Abe, Curtis, and Harry, and sisters Betty and Gert.

Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church at 100 S. Main Street, Hatfield, PA 19440 on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11am. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions in Linford’s name may be made to Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church.
