Lonnie R. Gooden November 24, 1962 July 26, 2018 Hereford- Lonnie Ray Gooden, 55, of Hereford passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, July 26, 2018 in Tucson. Lonnie, son of Evelyn M. (Roed) Gooden and the late Lyle R. Gooden was born in Pierre, South Dakota on November 24, 1962. Raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Lonnie attended Sioux Falls High School.

He enlisted in the United States Army and served his country for 10 years attaining the rank of Sergeant. While serving he was able to complete his education and obtained his GED. Lonnie was employed for the past 26 years with EPG on Fort Huachuca as a Field Engineer Technician.

In addition to his father, Lonnie was predeceased by his two brothers Robert and Dennis Gooden. Along with his mother he is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dora I. (Moody) Gooden; Two daughters, Natalie M. Gooden and Karen R. Gooden; a grandson, Jax. A Celebration of Life for Lonnie will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 5:00 pm followed by Military Honors at Hatfield Funeral Home, 830 South Highway 92, Sierra Vista.

A private burial will be held at Southern Arizona Veterans memorial Cemetery. A visiting hour for Lonnie will precede his service on Friday from 4 to 5 pm.
