Violet Lela White January 21, 1921 – July 23, 2018 Violet L. (Barrett) White, 97, died on Monday July 23, 2018 in Sierra Vista. Violet was the daughter of the late William H. Barrett and Blanche B. (Hillard). Violet was born in Belton, Texas on January 21, 1921.

Raised in Belton, she met her husband Homer and they were married on May 29, 1936 and enjoyed 67 years of marriage. Violet resided in Lindsay, California for 64 years and in Visalia, California for 12 years. She was employed for 20 years working at Lindsay Olives, Bell-Carter Company in California.

Violet is survived by a daughter, Geraldine Waldron; two sons, Ronald B. White (Mary Jo) and Donald H. White; 22 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren. Violet was a devout Christian and member of the Sierra Vista Church of Christ. She taught Sunday school for many years.

A celebration of Violet’s life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Sierra Vista Church of Christ, 815 El Camino Real, Sierra Vista. Burial will be at a later date in Lindsay Cemetery, Lindsay, California.
