Obituary for Lorraine McComas Petrie Lorraine McComas Petrie, 92, passed away on June 11, 2018 in Fayetteville, GA. She was born on August 27, 1925 in Hamlin, West Virginia. She was head majorette at Hamlin High School.

Mrs. Petrie was a resident of St. Albans for 50 years before moving to Georgia in 1992. She was a life-long Methodist and a life-long Democrat, working as ballot commissioner for many years. She was an avid reader, seamstress, gardener and worked as a seasonal tax preparer.

Mrs. Petrie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bill Petrie. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Petrie; her son, Dr. David Petrie and daughter-in-law, Jane; two grandsons; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and three siblings. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on June 13, 2018 at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, GA.

The family will receive friends at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm Saturday, June 16 2018 prior to the funeral service at cemetery. The funeral procession will live at 12:40 for the cemetery. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Cunningham Memorial Park, Lower Mausoleum Chapel, St. Albans, WV.
