Mosheim: Louise Reed Monk, age 70, of Mosheim, passed away, Saturday, March 9, 2019. She was of the Baptist faith. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Monk; parents, Connie “Wendy” and Bessie Seay Reed; sisters, Pauline Reed, Carrie Jones and Barbara Slocum; brothers, Billy Joe Reed, James “Jay” Reed and Robert Lewis Reed; step-daughter, Cathy Leedy; step-grandson, Logan Monk; special friend, Carol Vaught.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Culbertson and Ronnie “HT” Barfield; son, John Ferguson, Jr. and wife, Michelle; step-sons, Kenny Monk and wife, Lydia and Denny Monk; grandchildren, Austin Culbertson and wife, Heather, Tiffany Brooks and husband, T.J. and Lexie Ferguson; five great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren, Chelsea Dunston, Christy and Megan Leedy, Louise, Dallas and Lee Monk; sister, Helen Gregg; very special sister-in-law, Brenda Tweed and husband, Joe; aunt, Ruth Wheeler; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Johnny and Beverly Myers, Marvin and Janet Eanes and Ellie Brown. Special thanks to caregivers, Betty, Diane, Connie, Brenda, Kimmie, Sandy and Janet; also a special thanks to Smoky Mountain Hospice and Dr. Oakley and Dr. Jones. Visitation hours will be 12:00 Noon to 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jamie Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery.
