Nancy Sizemore Wood, age 96, met her Heavenly father on Sunday, March 10, 2019. Nancy was born January 8, 1923, in Rogersville to William Houston and Elsie Thomas Sizemore. Nancy was a long-time member Hickory Cove Baptist Church and served as church clerk for many years.

Nancy was a graduate of Rogersville High School and Mary Harrell School of Business. She was employed for many years at International Printing Pressmen and Assistants Union at Pressman’s Home where she met her husband, Bill. After her marriage she moved to Elizabeth, New Jersey where she lived for several years.

Upon retirement, she and Bill moved to Clearwater, FL where they enjoyed many years of sunshine and good times! She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Stanley Wood; brothers, Bluford Patton Sizemore and Harlan Lyons Sizemore; sisters-in-law, Ida Gregory Sizemore, Virginia Jones Sizemore; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ransford Izora Wood. Nancy is survived by her sisters, Wilma S. Parrott (Claude) and Charlsie S. Boragine (Bob) of Rogersville; brother, Paul Wayman Sizemore of Bethel Island, CA; sister-in-law, Estelle Sizemore of Winston Salem, NC; nieces and nephews, Pat and Joyce Sizemore of Sevierville, TN, John Sizemore, Whitesburg, Mike and Kathy Parrott, Johnson City, Joe Parrott, Kingsport, Tom Parrott, Kingsport, Susan and Eric Davidson, Johnson City, Eric and Allison Sizemore, Greensboro, NC, Robin and Hugh Tilley, Linwood, NC, Tommy and Tammy Sizemore, Bethel Island, CA, Nancy Sizemore West, CA, Lisa and David Parvin, Sevierville, TN, and Dallas and Pam Wood, FL; several great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. Funeral services will follow with Rev. Tommy Seals officiating.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Highland Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Condolences may be sent at www.
