Obituary for Marjorie E. Berrier (Stuter) Marjorie E. Berrier, 97, formerly of West Fourth Street in Lewistown, passed away at 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at Valley View Retirement Community, Belleville. Born November 21, 1920 in Belleville, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Sarah (Vaughn) Stuter. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Roy Berrier, Sr, and step-children, Roy Berrier, Jr., Roger Berrier and Richard Berrier.

She is survived by her children, Edward Knepp and wife Darlene of Lewistown, James Berrier of Mifflintown and David Berrier and wife Paula of McVeytown, Grandchildren, Curtis Knepp and wife Sherri of Burnham, Beth Birch and husband Alan of Lewistown, Nichole Berrier-Foust of Hanover, Michael Berrier and wife Chris of New Oxford, Thomas Berrier of Mifflintown, and Carly Berrier, and Madison Berrier all of McVeytown, and 7 Great-Grandchildren. Marjorie was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Lewistown. She was employed at the Arrow Shirt Factory and The American Viscose Corp.

She later was employed at McMeen’s Department Store and retired from the Bon-Ton. Marjorie was a devoted mother and grandmother, she never forgot a birthday. She was a devoted Christian and very involved in her church.

Earlier in life, she loved Sunday drives and traveling with her husband Roy, and later bus trips with her friends. A funeral service in loving memory of Marjorie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday April 9, 2018 at The Barr Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory, 120 Logan Street, with Rev Bernard Carpenter officiating. There will be a time of visitation from noon until time of service at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park. We would like to thank the staff at Valley View Haven Retirement Community for the excellent care they provided our mother.
