Mary Ann Fudge Range, age 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Elmcroft Senior Living in Kingsport. She was born and raised at the Fudge Farm in Surgoinsville but resided most of her life in Johnson City. She was a graduate of East Tennessee State University and worked many years in the Johnson City School System, where she taught public music and 3rd grade.

Mary Ann was a lover of music and history and was a member of many civic clubs and organizations in Washington County over the years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Garner Range; parents, Edith and Charles Fudge; brother, Jerry Fudge Sr; sisters, Jane Fudge Cole, Helen Fudge Crabb, Margaret Fudge Armstrong, Eula Fudge Parker; an infant sibling; and nephew, William Armstrong. She is survived by her step daughter, (Genie) Eugenia Kaye Range Henson (Scott); step grandson, Chris Henson (Heather); step granddaughter, Callie Henson; nieces, Martha Wilson, Susan Humes (John), and Cheryl Armstrong; nephews, Jerry Fudge Jr (Nadine), Jon Armstrong (Joyce), and Ed Parker (Hannah); She is also survived by her friend and caregiver of many years, Rodney Ferrell; as well as her loving caretakers, Terry Monroe and Patsy Mauk.

Special thanks to the loving and compassionate staff of Elmcroft Senior Living. Mary requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the New Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund: P.O. Box 46, Surgoinsville, TN 37873. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday at New Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev.
